Terrain: Mam Nick car park is set on sloping land to the south west of Mam Tor itself. From the top of the car park, a fairly steep footpath with occasional steps takes you alongside the road until you reach a more regular flight of stone steps which lead you to the summit of Mam Tor.
Lead by National Park Ranger, Graham Hann, this audio guide takes you over the wild and lonely moors of Kinder Scout. Weather permitting, it offers great panoramic views over the plateau, whilst providing you with all the information you could need on a walk on the moors.

Terrain: A mixture of tracks, rough moorland paths and open moor with some steep ascents and descents.
A popular and accessible short walk lead by Youth Rangers across the Longshaw estate. Discover the industrial past of the area and its present recreational value.

Terrain: Some short steep ascents/descents, but the route is generally flat and good under foot.
Taking you into the heart of the wilderness, rewind the clocks on this landscape to discover how its industrial past has left its mark on the moors and surrounding area today.

Terrain: Generally level, but localised, uneven moorland terrain underfoot.

Terrain: The route is generally good under foot, but with a steep ascent from Billy's Cote to The Nab.

Terrain: Stiles and 'squeeze stiles' need to be navigated. The route contains mainly gentle ascents and descents although good footwear is essential.
